Enjoy some of Hayward’s top shopping, entertainment, and dining options. The
Southland Mall is an especially popular choice, filled with specialty shops, department stores, clothing boutiques, and more. The on-site movie theater provides entertainment opportunities for all ages.
Many residents also make the short drive to San Leandro to increase their shopping possibilities. Both the
San Leandro Plaza and
Bayfair Center reside here, providing more storefronts and boutiques offering an assortment of clothing choices and home goods. There is also a multiplex theater at Bayfair.

Don Castro Regional Recreation Area is the place to visit. It spans more than 100 acres and provides opportunities for swimming, fishing, watching wildlife, and walking trails.
Garin Regional Park is also located in Hayward, providing even more space for exploring nature.
Hayward Farmers Market is also a popular choice that allows you to pick up fresh produce and gather with the community. It's available year-round but only open on Saturdays between 9 am and 1 pm. Aside from food, you can also find organic body care products and other unique offerings.
Become a member of
Stonebrae Country Club, the city's mountaintop sanctuary, and you will have access to numerous amenities. Aside from the gorgeous panoramic views to explore, you can golf on the included course, play tennis, or dine at the on-site restaurant. There is also a pool and fitness center.
